Fr Joe Climbs Mount Kilimanjaro

Fr. Joe Gembala, avid outdoorsman and Pastor of St. Malachy, is embarking on a trip of a lifetime. He will be spending a month in Africa and part of the time involves climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain at 3 miles high, or 15,092 feet. Fr. Joe has been training for this climb since July and came to the conclusion that to undertake such an incredible adventure just for himself would be selfish. The actual climb, both up and down, will take 7 days total and is a tremendous physical challenge. Contributions may be made in the form of a pledge by the foot (15,092 feet) or by the day (7) or by miles up (3) or a flat donation
