Teri Lynn Dennings

Biography:
Teri Dennings is a senior associate with Kitch Drutchas practicing exclusively in the areas of civil rights, labor law and employment. She has published and lectured on employment rights and is a former adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University, her alma mater.

Teri joined the Board in 2008, and serves on the Personnel Committee. She states, "It is important that Turning Point exists and is funded so that the impact of violence can be minimized and survivors have a place they can turn to to aid in their healing."

Vincent Viviano

Company: Warren Bank

Biography:
Vince Viviano is an account executive for Warren Bank. He joined the Board in 2007. He also works as a Marine Safety Officer for the Macomb County Reserve Sheriff Department. He states, " I think it is important to stand against these crimes. The rippling effects of violence can travel for generations if not addressed."


James Ketchum

Company: Anton Zorn & Sowerby

Biography:
James Ketchum joined the Board in 2008. He has 31 years of experience in real estate and currently works for Anton Zorn & Sowerby. He states, "the services that Turning Point provides to victims in our community is crucial to keeping people safe and turning around their lives."

Brad Driscoll

Company: Real Estate Investor

Biography:
Brad Driscoll is a Mt Clemens business owner. He joined the Board in 2007 and currently chairs the Facility Committee. He states, "the effects of violence on families is tragic. I support the difference Turning Point makes in the lives of victims and the work they are doing in order to prevent it."

René Thomas

Company: Venus Investments

Biography:
René Thomas along with her husband Peter are business owners in Clinton Township. She joined the Board of Directors in 2008. She states, "any of us could be in the situation that the people Turning Point serves are in. It is crucial that Turning Point provides a safe place for women and children to reside and the restoration of their dignity."

Laura Cardamone

Company: Private Practice MSW
Job Title: Board Member

Biography:
Laura Cardamone is currently in private practice and runs the Macomb County Batterer Intervention Program. She has been a Board member since 2003 and has served as the Board Chair. She states, "As a board member I am here to empower staff in the fight against domestic violence and sexual assault and to increase public awareness to its prevalence and prevention."

Stephanie Bergeron

Company: Walsh College
Job Title: Board Member

Biography:
Stephanie became the sixth president and chief executive officer of Walsh College on January 10, 2007, after serving as interim president since September 2006. She has served the College as a trustee; chair of the Academic Committee; and a Director of The Walsh College Foundation. She joined Turning Point's Board of Directors in 2005, and has served as Treasurer.

In 1997 and in 2007, Crain's Detroit Business named Stephanie one of its "Most Influential Women". She states, "I support the incredible work of this organization and the difference Turning Point makes in the lives of women and children."

James Arnone

Company: Primetime Testing Laboratory

Biography:
James Arnone is a business owner of Prime Time Testing. He joined the Board of Directors in 2008, and currently serves as Chair of the Fund Development Committee. He states, "I want to be a part of an organization that makes a difference in the lives of victims. Any part I can play is very gratifying to me."

Sharon Ciaramitaro

Company: Fifth Third Bank
Job Title: Treasurer

Biography:
Sharon Ciaramitaro has been a board member since 2005. She is a VP at Fifth Third Bank. Sharon also serves on the Board of Zonta of Macomb. She is currently the Treasurer of the Board. She states, " Turning Point is this community's only resource for victims of domestic and sexual violence and is an invaluable resource to eliminating and preventing these crimes."

Martha Higgins, M.D.

Company: St. John Hospital & Medical Center
Job Title: Vice Chair
Term: 2008
Biography:
Martha Higgins is the Director of Pathology at St. John Hospital & Medical Center. She has been a board member since 2005 and currently serves as the Vice Chair. She states, "I have observed first hand the sad outcomes of domestic violence and sexual assault. I contribute my time and expertise with the hope of changing the prevalence of violence in our community."

David Maksymetz

Company: JPMorgan
Job Title: Board Chair

Biography:
David Maksymetz works as a client advisor for JP Morgan. He has been a board member for over 10 years, and previously held the position of Treasurer. He currently holds the position of Board Chair. He states, "outside of raising my family this is the most important work I have ever done."
